We need pet sponsors so we can provide sanctuary of our existing critter population for a long, happy life. We realize that not everyone is able to adopt another companion, but sponsorship is another way to help. We need volunteers to help with special projects (like fencing and putting up solar panels) as well as cattery and kennel helpers. We need donations from our wish list. If you are in the Indian Wells Valley, you can recycle your CRV beverage bottles and cans, household glass bottles, aluminum cat food cans, as well as newspaper and cardboard at Golden Empire Salvage at 811 E. Ridgecrest Blvd. and ask them to credit it to the Tulgey Wood Critter Refuge account. (If you don't already have a designated favorite charity.) If you are going to be in the Lake Isabella Area, you can recycle just about everything at Thomas Refuse. Make sure to ask them to put it on the Tulgey Wood Critter account! |

We need you to shop for our eBay items! |
|
We also have links to stores that donate to us when you shop, as well as other cool and earth-friendly stuff. |
|
|
And don't forget to shop at online mall iGive.com where you can find all of your favorite stores
such as Lands End, Eddie Bauer, Gaiam/Real Goods, Staples, Office Depot, Dell, Gateway, X-10.com (for cool web-integrated
remote cameras and security systems), Drugstore.com (for prescriptions, vitamins, face and body lotions), Petsmart, Petco,
PetcareRx, Sunglass Hut, Coldwater Creek, Fabric.com, .... iGive.com donates a percent of your purchase to us and costs you nothing extra! |
You can send us your used inkjet cartridges so that we can recycle them for a discount on office supplies. We would like teachers to use Kind News in their classroom curriculum. We would like folks interested in helping feral (wild) cats step up and form a local grass-roots group interested in doing the right thing (Trap-Neuter-Release). And last, but not least, we need all of you kind people to assist with memberships and donations so that we can expand our efforts to address the pet overpopulation crisis and work with the city and county in this area to establish a humane, cost-effective, and mutually beneficial solution between the stray and unwanted cats and the communities in which they live. |
|
Your donation is tax deductible. If you wish to verify our federal charitable status, please view our determination letter from the IRS or do an IRS charity verification. All of your donation will go to the animals. There is no paid staff, and all facility funding drives will be clearly earmarked in the future. |

Sponsorship and Sanctuary |
Sponsorship of a pet is somewhat like adopting a whale or an ocean, in that you don't actually take it home. Sanctuary provides
care for a long, happy life when there aren't enough adoptive homes available. Some of what your sponsorship will help to provide is feed, vaccinations,
medication, veterinary care, clean bedding and shelter, toys, exercise, and companionship, as well as offsetting the spay/neuter cost of the next critter.
You can sponsor one of our most needy critters for $5 per month or $60 per year. You will have the option of being listed as a sponsor on the
website and any newsletters. |
