Kern County, low-income residents pay $20 for a spay/neuter voucher. The voucher is then given to a participating vet to cover the cost
of the surgery. For more information, please call 760-384-5850 in Ridgecrest, or 661-868-7100, or visit Kern County Website,
the County Building at 400 N China Lake Boulevard in Ridgecrest, or 201 S Mount Vernon Avenue in Bakersfield.

The Prevent Unwanted Puppies (PUP) program begins October 1, 2008 for the FIRST 100 FEMALE dogs. There is a 3 dog limit
per household. Available to Ridgecrest, Inyokern, and Trona residents.

Beginning June 1, 2009, the Cat About Town (C.A.T.) program will spay or neuter your cats in the Indian Wells Valley for $10 per critter!
This includes your pets, strays, and ferals. There is no limit per household.
